Our Strategic Endgame

In the current year, MFM has transformed into an independent Not-for-Profit organization, establishing a new operational hub in North Dartmouth. The growing disparity in mainstream food prices has exacerbated the needs of our community, prompting MFM to remain agile and responsive in addressing the evolving challenges faced by communities within HRM and beyond. We are actively engaged in forging new partnerships within both rural communities and HRM, with the aim of expanding our service offerings while sustaining our existing collaborations. Over the past two years, we've undergone significant changes, evolving the Mobile Food Market to a place that brings dignified food access to communities. We are committed to having a strong, diverse board of directors to help us further our mission. If you share our passion for enhancing food access, we encourage you to consider applying for a position on our board of directors. Your involvement would be greatly valued.

We’re looking for new board members who are as passionate about food access and we hope you’ll consider applying if this speaks to you!

Commitment to Equity and Justice

We are intentional in our recruitment approach and encourage applications from African Nova Scotians, those from Indigenous and Black communities, other racialized persons, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and disabled persons.
